Emmaus Scattered

At EMMAUS Church we are committed to “scattering” throughout Greater Atlanta during the week in order to live the Christian life in what we call “Missional Community”.

So what is a “Missional Community”?

Well, Missional Communities exist as weekly small group environments where the people of EMMAUS Church can connect in deeper relationships with one another, grow in relationship with Jesus Christ, live intentionally focused on serving Greater Atlanta through compassion projects, and invite non-Christians to “come and see”.

Acts 2:42-47 and Acts 4:32-37 are prime examples of what this kind of Missional Community looks like; Devotion to the Apostle’s teaching (the Bible), the fellowship (one another), the breaking of bread (meals, communion, relationship building), and prayer (reliance upon the Lord).

In a Missional Community you will be able to meet new people, build relationships within the church, share some good food, talk about the sermon from the previous Sunday discussing how it applies to real life, have real opportunities to serve the community, and establish lifelong friendships!

Each one of these Missional Communities meets on a different night of the week and is hosted and facilitated by a member of EMMAUS Church. You can connect into one of these groups by visiting the Missional Community Table in the lobby of EMMAUS Church or by emailing mc@emmausbible.org.
